Field Notes On a New Feminism
Brought to you by The Catholic Feminist
Psst: did you know Catholicism and feminism are compatible?
In fact, they go together like PB & J. or Susan B. & Elizabeth Cady. or John Paul the Great and mountains.

Here are three full-o’-crap lies you may be hearing:
“You don’t need to define yourself as Catholic feminist, you just need to be Catholic and everything else will fall into place.” Um…then why do we call ourselves things like pro-life? Or anti-racist? Because—yep, Catholicism is all of those things. But it’s important to name and claim our beliefs.
“Feminists hate women who stay at home with their kids.” Listen, sister—I stay at home with my kids. I even dabble in homeschooling the preschooler. So don’t come at me with that nonsense, please and thank you. Feminists want you to find the path God has called you to.
“Feminism is rooted in an anti-man thought.” Nope! Feminism has evolved and gone through various waves, all of which we cover in the mini-course. ;)
What if you boldly proclaimed your Catholic feminism built on a solid foundation of education? What if you weren’t afraid to call yourself a feminist because someone might bring up Simone de Beauvoir? After writing two books for Catholic women, interviewing over 100 women living out their callings, and living 28 years as a brave-and-bold feminist, I wanted to pass on the knowledge I’ve gained to you. With a neat-and-tidy mini course you can take in your jammies.
So here it is: Field Notes on a New Feminism, a place where you can learn the history of feminism and how it relates to Catholicism today. If you feel like you aren’t allowed to be a Catholic feminist? I feel that way sometimes, too. But newsflash: angry people on the Internet don’t get to put us into a box. Amen?
